Artificial Intelligence vs Machine Learning are two terms that are often used interchangeably, but the two terms are not the same. Artificial intelligence is a broad term that encompasses any computer system that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chances of success. Machine learning on the other hand, is a subset of artificial intelligence that focuses on pattern recognition, especially in data sets and models to learn from them. Artificial Intelligence defined In layman’s terms, is a system that can reason, learn, and act autonomously, while machine learning is focused on building algorithms that allow machines to learn from data. The two can get confusing, but once you dig into the specifics, you start realizing how different they are.‍
